Dynamic public financial corporation is seeking a passionate Communications & Event Coordinator to join their collaborative, high performing Communications team for a 12 month contract to start immediately.
Reporting to the Head of Public Affairs and Communication, this key role is responsible for providing provide high quality event management, including external and internal events and assisting with broader communications activities such as preparing communication materials, media monitoring, website content and develop internal communications
You will be responsible for:
- Event management - plan and deliver internal and external events, including employee offsites, executive team offsites, workshops, team celebration events, and events conducted internally with business partners, external annual Seminars, and other external stakeholder event
- Lead the end-to-end event planning process for events including venue sourcing and booking, invitations, ordering of audio-visual equipment, seating and space requirements, dietary requirements, ordering catering and onsite management
- Deliver assigned events on time, within budget, and in accordance with established expectations
- Liaise with event guests to ensure arrival times and other important engagement requirements are agreed and confirmed
- Establish and nurture relationships with vendors, venues, suppliers
- Coordinate the delivery of event collateral as required (including brochures, workbooks, presentation decks, photography, newsletters, website)
- Communications delivery – prepare internal communications material items including newsletters, content for website, events, internal communication content, insurer customer EDMs, and a relevant and engaging social media presence
- Content development - prepare day-to-day website content management as needed, including co-ordination of content (updates, editing and consistency of voice), appropriate governance (approvals), timeliness, and accuracy
- Daily digital media monitoring
You will have:
- Tertiary qualification (or working toward) in Communications or related field or equivalent experience
- Proven event management experience working in the private and/or public sector
- Relevant knowledge and experience in communications and/or marketing – relevant internal communications experience
- Experience with project coordination (such as event management and the coordination of communication pieces involving a variety of contributing stakeholders
- Knowledge of or experience working in insurance, reinsurance, banking, or financial services will be highly regarded
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbally and in writing
- Conscientious attention to detail
- Working knowledge of WordPress and Mailchimp
- Strong project coordination skills in timeline driven/high pressure environments
- Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
- Ability to build strong relationships with various stakeholders
