About Us:

Exclusive Construction Machinery and Equipment Pty Ltd (ECME) is a civil construction company specialising in civil subdivision works. Our projects range from small multi-unit strata subdivisions to larger green title subdivisions within the Perth metropolitan area. We also do demolitions and miscellaneous earthmoving activities.

We are currently seeking an Experienced Machine Operator to join our team.

Role Overview:

As an Experienced Machine Operator, you will be expected to operate typical earthmoving machinery, especially excavators, loaders, and positracks. Your role will be to operate machines in a safe and efficient manner as suited to the task. From time-to-time you may be requested to provide advice and guidance on the quality and time requirements for various tasks, as well as providing tips and training to less experienced staff on how to operate machinery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Machinery Operation: Operate standard earthmoving machines such as excavators and loaders.
• Level Calculations: Be able to set levels on-site accurately.
• Safety Compliance: Maintain a strong focus on safety, ensuring all site activities comply with safety regulations and company policies.
• Training and Supervision: Provide support and training for junior staƯ for more detailed and complex activities with regard to machine operation.

Key Tasks:

• Soakwell Installation: Be able to accurately set levels and install soakwells on strata subdivision sites.
• Earthworks: Be able to stage and plan the works on strata subdivisions (~1,000 m2 ) to efficiently complete cut and fill operations.
• Final Trim: Be able to trim sand pads to appropriate levels.

Skills and Experience:

• Experience: Demonstrated experience with operating machines. Experience in the civil subdivision industry is desirable.
• Machinery Skills: Must have relevant tickets to operate standard earthmoving machinery such as excavators and loaders.
• Drawings: Be able to read and interpret construction drawings.
• Truck Driving: Having appropriate licences to drive semi trucks is advantageous.
• Surveying: Being able to use surveying equipment and set out is not necessary but will be assessed favourably.
