This is a great opportunity to join a collaborative and supportive team focusing on SME’s and family groups. Their client base is made up of various industries ranging in turnover anywhere between $5 – $20mil.

In this role you will work closely with the leadership team, all of whom are heavily invested in your professional development. This is a great opportunity to join a well-established firm who also have ambitious plans for future growth. They operate in paperless environment and use Xero as their practice software. The ideal candidate will be confident with Xero.

You will be responsible for a portfolio of clients and your role will include liaising with clients regarding bookkeeping, payroll and super queries, reviewing the work of 2x offshore bookkeepers and helping to train them, payroll & AP/AR processing. They are looking for a solution-oriented person, someone who can manage the bookkeeping function from a technical and client perspective.

You will be joining a diverse and growing business with a team of passionate individuals. Their office facilities are state-of-the-art with wireless technology and multiple break out areas. Staff also have free access to gym and indoor pool in the corporate park, weekly team drinks, games area (ping pong table, PlayStation etc), quarterly team building events etc.

The Partners are happy to offer WFH flexibility (1 day of your choosing) and are open to tailoring work hours and start/finish times.

My client is looking for someone who loves what they do, and is motivated to make the lives of their clients better!

Key duties include:

  • Full functional bookkeeping and payroll using Xero
  • Preparation/Review and lodgement of BAS & IAS
  • Liaising with clients over phone, email, and face-to-face
  • Reviewing work produced by junior and offshore staff and providing feedback and training as required
  • Quarterly Superannuation payment processing

The ideal candidate will posses:

  • 3+ years bookkeeping experience for external clients (including payroll)
  • Experience in an accounting or bookkeeping firm servicing clients
  • Experience reviewing the work of juniors or outsourced team members
  • Strong practical experience with Xero
  • Great communication & client service skills
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills
  • A positive and down-to-earth attitude
