About the role
The City of Joondalup is seeking a part time, reliable, hardworking Rating Services Officer with great customer service and communication skills. The ideal candidate will be a great team player with strong multitasking skills.
Reporting to our Coordinator Rating Services, this position is involved in the provision of effective rating services whilst providing quality customer service in accordance with legislative requirements. You will undertake a variety of tasks with the aim of ensuring the efficient and effective collection of rates. Tasks will include daily maintenance of the rating system and dealing with telephone and written enquiries.
The preferred applicant will require good problem-solving skills as well as demonstrated negotiation and conflict resolution skills, experience in dealing with and interpreting legislation, sound numeracy and communication skills and experience in providing customer service in a high-pressure environment.
The role will also require you to work up to 12 weeks full time during our peak workload period between July and November each year.
Applicants with previous rates experience will be highly regarded.
