About the role
We are seeking a dedicated Case Worker - Outreach (CIOS) to join our team at the Tennant Creek Women's Refuge. This full-time position is based in Tennant Creek, NT and will involve providing critical support and advocacy services to vulnerable women and children in the local community.
What you'll be doing
- Conducting outreach to identify client needs and risks
- Developing and implementing personalised case management support plans to address a range of client needs
- Providing crisis intervention, emotional support, and practical assistance to clients
- Advocating on behalf of clients to secure access to housing, financial, legal and other essential services
- Collaborating with a network of community service providers to coordinate holistic support
- Maintaining accurate client records and reporting on program outcomes
- Promoting the service and raising community awareness of available support
What we're looking for
- Demonstrated experience in supporting vulnerable individuals and families
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with clients
- Strong problem-solving and advocacy skills, with a commitment to empowering clients
- Familiarity with the housing, homelessness, and domestic violence service systems
- The ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Willingness to work flexibly, including remote trips as needed.
- Willingness to undertake certification in Community Services and professional development opportunities.
