Prace is a not-for-profit organisation providing adult and youth education programs within Melbourne's northern region. We strive to develop dynamic, responsive and innovative educational programs and learning experiences. We aim to encourage the concept of lifelong learning and recognise the life experiences that all people bring to the organisation. Prace will support and advocate on behalf of the community to ensure equitable access to resources and services that will work to strengthen the capacity of all people to participate fully in work and in their community.

2 Positions available:

  • Pathway Programs Case Worker - Full time, fixed term contract until 31st December 2025 (Working across both Reconnect and AMEP Connect programs)
  • Reconnect Program Case Worker - Part time (0.8), fixed term contract until 31st December 2025 (Reconnect Program)

POSITION SUMMARY

The Reconnect Program, funded by the Victorian Government’s Department of Jobs, Skills, Industry and
Regions, provides wrap-around support services for individuals aged 17-64 to re-engage in education, training,
and employment. The program supports early school leavers, those under-employed or unemployed, and
individuals facing multiple barriers to work and learning. Prace delivers Reconnect services across the Darebin,
Whittlesea, Banyule, Nillumbik, Merri-bek, and Mitchell (Wallan, Beveridge, and Kilmore) local government
areas.

The AMEP Connect project, funded by the Department of Home Affairs, provides individualised
pathway support for the most disadvantaged clients in the Adult Migrant English Program (AMEP). Using a case management approach, the project addresses situational barriers such as homelessness, food insecurity, family violence, and caring obligations. AMEP Connect participants are drawn from community education providers located in Fitzroy, Carlton, Richmond, and West Heidelberg— where significant levels of disadvantage exist.

As a Case Worker, you will facilitate outreach and engagement activities to attract individuals back into learning
and vocational pathway planning. You will collaborate with education providers, government agencies, and
community services to ensure participants receive tailored support to successfully transition into further
education, training, or employment. Your role will play a critical part in strengthening pathway guidance and
improving outcomes for at-risk clients across both programs.

QUALIFICATION/S OR RELEVANT EXPERIENCE: Tertiary qualifications in the community, employment, welfare and/or education sectors with subsequent relevant experience.
