The objective for this role is for a new staff member to join the team to work in the inventory management team.
Role Description
Work in the Fulfilment team by maintaining the stock data of the organization through meticulous data entry and record-keeping. Monitor the inventory levels of the organisation. Stock management, analyse inventory & record, evaluate and ship stocks. Using an inventory tracking system, work to optimising inventory control. This role requires communication and coordinating with warehouses, freight companies, shipping brokers & suppliers, hence strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills are essential to the job profile.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, monitor and deliver inventory as per the supply chain and inventory control process
- Develop and deploy inventory tracking systems that ease the inventory control tasks
- Collaborate with suppliers and gather day-to-day updates about the supplies from the inventory control assistants who are on the job
- Document and make reports on every delivery and shipment that happens in the warehouse to ensure quality and inventory control
- Report to the upper management regarding the inventory and shipping status
Characteristics Required
- Sharp eye for detail.
- Basic understanding of financial principles.
- Driven to ensure issues are resolved quickly.
- 3-5 years experience in business administration.
Meetings & Support Structure
This is an important and pivotal role in the business, and we understand the need of good support for success and role satisfaction. This is maintained by a cadence of meetings and the following support structure:
- Daily Team Huddles.
- 1 on 1 performance & support meetings.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Data Entry and Record maintenance
- Purchase order processing & follow-up.
- Keeping two inboxes up to date and processing email requests from vendors and customer.
- Produce stock valuation reports.
- Assist Fulfilment manager in stock on hand reconciliations
- Critical eye analysis.
- Respond to inquiries from internal and external stakeholders.
