  • Position Type: Talent Pool Creation - A Talent Pool will be created for future ongoing, temporary and part-time roles and is valid for a period of up to 18 months.
  • Salary: Clerk Grade 1/2, $73,522pa - $79,930pa plus employers contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and experienced Administration Assistant to join a progressive and dynamic team in one of Australia's most famous outback towns. Broken Hill offers both unique geographical challenges and breathtaking local scenery, situated within the traditional lands of the Wilyakali people, our Broken Hill office acknowledges and pays respect to the Wilyakali people as the traditional custodians of this region. Your role

The role performs administrative and reception services to internal and external clients to support the delivery of quality services for the organisation. It also undertakes a range of administrative support services relating to the business, including non-complex client matters, word processing, data entry, preparing correspondence, taking minutes, maintaining electronic and file records and support with meetings and events.

What you'll do

To be successful for this role, you will always display integrity, and be a true team player with excellent communication and organisational skills. You will always maintain confidentiality whilst utilising your proven experience to meet the demands of this role effectively. Resilience, initiative, high attention to detail and accuracy along with the ability to work under pressure are the key attributes to succeed in this fast-paced role. What we're looking for

Applicants should have previous administration experience and be able demonstrate a high level of computer skills including Microsoft Office suite as well as competency in applications such as record management systems. The ability to learn and grow in the role will be important in terms of understanding the role.

Corrective Services NSW (CSNSW) delivers professional correctional services and programs to reduce reoffending and create safer communities. We house remand and sentenced inmates in correctional centres and supervise offenders serving orders in the community.

CSNSW provides reports and advice to courts and releasing/parole authorities and assesses offenders in the community and in custody for relevant interventions to reduce their risks of reoffending. CSNSW works in partnership with other government and non-government justice and human services agencies to support victims, facilitate restorative justice and promote reintegration.
