Employment type - Talent Pool Creation - A talent pool will be created for future ongoing and temporary roles for City Community Corrections, Darlinghurst and is valid for a period of up to 18 months.
Salary - $97,027pa - $107,059pa, plus employers contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading (Clerk Grade 5/6)

Your role
As a Community Corrections Officer, you will join a dedicated and dynamic team focused on offender rehabilitation and enhancing community safety. In this role, you will collaborate with individuals under supervision to develop and implement rehabilitative strategies, monitor progress toward established goals, and conduct home visits to ensure compliance with conditions. You will benefit from a supportive work environment and opportunities to engage in staff activities, all while making a meaningful impact in the community.

What you'll do
Community Corrections Officers are trained to manage cases for individuals serving community-based orders, including Parole Orders, Intensive Corrections Orders, and Community Corrections Orders. This role offers extensive training opportunities and pathways for career advancement. Essential Requirements
- Current driver's licence and have a willingness/ability to drive within NSW.
Successful candidates will be required to complete a mandatory four-week, in-person, paid training program at our Brush Farm Academy, which is a key component of the Certificate IV in Correctional Practice curriculum.

Corrective Services NSW (CSNSW) delivers professional correctional services and programs to reduce reoffending and create safer communities. We house remand and sentenced inmates in correctional centres and supervise offenders serving orders in the community.
CSNSW provides reports and advice to courts and releasing/parole authorities and assesses offenders in the community and in custody for relevant interventions to reduce their risks of reoffending. CSNSW works in partnership with other government and non-government justice and human services agencies to support victims, facilitate restorative justice and promote reintegration.
