About the Role:
You will lead teams delivering impactful programs and services that make Victoria University a welcoming, inclusive and fair place for all. The Senior Manager, Student Equity and Advocacy will drive collaboration across all areas of university life to improve experiences for students in terms of accessibility, cultural inclusion, LGBTQIA+ inclusion and for students from disadvantaged backgrounds. You will foster excellence, leading advocacy, accessibility and equity teams, programs and services.
This is a continuing, full-time (36.75 hours per week) position at a HEW 9 classification, $128,446 - $133,636 per annum plus 17% employer superannuation.
An example of your responsibilities or duties you may perform will include:
- Lead and manage teams
- Oversee equity programs and funding
- Drive creation and implementation of plans
About You:
You are a leader with significant experience and contemporary understanding of equity, diversity and intersectionality. You bring a strategic focus to whole-of-university transformation and an accountable and continuous improvement approach to managing teams.
- You have extensive experience in removing barriers to participation for people with a range of identities and backgrounds.
- You are an ideal fit for this role if you are adept at connecting big picture objectives with operational action.
- You are an excellent communicator. You are calm and flexible. You bring clarity, warmth and humour and are committed to operating with integrity.
