Leading Australian owned International Freight Forwarder and Logistics provider seeking experienced Ocean /Air Freight Import & Cartage Operator. Banksmeadow Location 2 days WFH on offer. Must have local experience to qualify.

The role is to undertake the daily operational function as required for the freight forwarding team. This role involves organising shipments for Ocean containers, LCL and air freight. You'll work closely with clients, overseas offices, internal and external stakeholders to provide exceptional service and exceed expectations. This role also includes the cartage coordination function as required for the forwarding department, ensuring efficient handling and timely delivery of cargo. Organising both import and export shipments for Ocean containers, LCL and air freight.

About you :-

• Minimum 5 years operational experience within the freight forwarding / supply chain & logistics industry required.
• Experience with CargoWise
• Experience handling both Import Sea and Import Air modes and Cartage.
• A positive "can do" collegiate attitude, personable, energetic and communicative
• Able to work under pressure in a time sensitive environment.
• Well organised and time efficient.
• Experience with ICS

About the role:-

• Coordinate and schedule cartage for import and export ocean FCL, LCL, and airfreight deliveries, ensuring timely and efficient transport across all modes.
• Manage and resolve any issues related to cartage for ocean and airfreight shipments, including delays or discrepancies, to uphold high service standards.
• Liaise with all parties (including overseas offices, airlines, CTO’s and transport contractors) to manage inbound air freight or sea freight shipments.
• Lodge & monitor underbond movements (through CW1 & ICS).
• Support Freight Forwarding administrative duties.
• Support in escalating and communicating with internal and external stakeholders in a timely and efficient manner.
• Support day to day operations including registration, invoicing, all other operational duties for Operations team.
• Adhere to standardised procedures for administrative tasks, ensuring consistency and accuracy in documentation, and data management.
• Follow established workflows for handling administrative responsibilities, aiming for efficiency and error reduction.
• To monitor, highlight, and action requested KPIs as outlined by global process.
• Prepare and manage all necessary documentation, including bills of lading, customs paperwork, and other essential processes.
• Enter data into computer system and produce data/reports as required.
• Monitor and track consignments, providing regular updates to clients, and generate reports detailing shipment statuses and key performance metrics. Identify and resolve issues in timely manner.
• Monitor key performance indicators to comply with and track operational performance.
• Additional tasks as directed by management
