ABOUT THE BUSINESS

Hi, we’re Great Mates! We’re a national non-profit disability support provider with a big heart and a big difference.

We bring different backgrounds and abilities together on a shared life journey. We know the value of community and its impact on enriching life, and we provide a space where people can embrace differences, find likeness, and be empowered to live life. At the end of the day, we are people supporting people – and we need you to help us do this.

We are seeking an experienced Regional Lead to oversee operations and lead a team of Senior and Clinical Lifestyle Assistants. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, experience in disability services, and a passion for delivering high-quality, person-centred support.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead and mentor a team of Senior and Clinical Lifestyle Assistants, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of allocated Supported Independent Living (SIL) and Individualised Living Options (ILO) services.

• Ensure all services comply with NDIS quality and safeguarding standards while upholding Great Mates’ mission and values.

• Work closely with individuals, families, and external stakeholders to develop and implement individual lifestyle plans that support independence and well-being.

• Manage financial and administrative tasks, including budgets, payroll approvals, invoicing, and reporting.

• Develop and implement staff rosters to ensure appropriate service coverage and continuity of care.

• Conduct performance reviews, training sessions, and team meetings to support professional development.

• Maintain accurate care documentation and compliance records, ensuring privacy and confidentiality.

• Identify and implement best-practice initiatives to improve service delivery and participant outcomes.

• Ensure risk management procedures and WHS policies are adhered to across all operational areas.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

• Minimum 12 months’ experience in a leadership or supervisory role within the disability, healthcare, or community services sector.

• Proven experience in supporting individuals with complex needs, mental health conditions, and high-intensity supports.

• Strong understanding of NDIS compliance, policies, and reporting requirements.

• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• Experience in budget management, rostering, and operational efficiency.

• Diploma of Disability, Community Services, or equivalent qualification.

• Current First Aid Certificate and NDIS Worker Screening (Blue & Yellow Card).

• Current unrestricted QLD driver’s licence.

WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU?

• Career progression and professional development opportunities in a growing organisation.

• A supportive and inclusive team culture, with regular team events and networking opportunities.

• Flexible work environment in a sunny Queensland location.

• Salary Sacrificing benefits to help maximise your take-home pay.

• Your birthday off! Because celebrating life is what we do best.
