What you will be doing:
The Clinical Lead will be the 2IC for their region and will work under the guidance of the Region Manager. They will be responsible for providing clinical and operational supervision to team members in their region, developing new staff members and play a vital role in onboarding, training and development for their region. The ideal candidate will be a proficient behaviour support practitioner under the NDIS Behaviour Support Capability Framework and have excellent leadership and communication skills with emphasis on interpersonal communication skills, trust-building, confidentiality, report writing, and record-keeping. They should also have excellent attention to detail and demonstrate competence in using information technology, electronic client management systems and Microsoft Office.
The successful candidate will be a natural leader who is approachable, responsive, and able to react assertively to competing demands on the PBS team is required. They should have experience working within a billable hour framework. They should have administration skills and ensure documentation is up to date while understanding the NDIS price guide and budgets.
Conflict management, relationship building, negotiation skills, and a profound understanding of Positive Behaviour Support, the NDIS Positive Behaviour Support Capability Framework, and the requirements of the NDIS Quality and Safeguarding Commission are critical. The candidate should also possess exceptional knowledge of the DHS Restrictive Practices guidelines and have experience working with people with behaviours of concern that families, carers, and/or members of the community find challenging.
With the intrastate expansion of Allora Options, there will be opportunities for paid work travel to the Riverland and Eyre Peninsula regions as we grow in these areas.
Essential Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
- Relevant Allied Health degree.
- At least 2 years of experience as a behaviour support practitioner and registered under the NDIS Capability Framework.
- Ability to follow directions, policies and procedures from managers and lead team members to follow new initiatives.
- Ability to support team members to meet service delivery targets.
- Exceptional public speaker and ability to liaise with government and non-government organisations.
- Leads by example. Must be approachable and responsive, who can react assertively to competing demands on the PBS team.
- Evidence with compliant note taking and experienced in mitigating professional risk and supporting others to do so.
- Demonstrated competence in the use of information technology, internet, and desktop applications, e.g., electronic client management systems, Microsoft Office, and database packages.
- Experience in working within a billable hour framework and being able to hit service targets and support their team to do so.
- Sound understanding of Positive Behaviour Support, the NDIS Positive Behaviour Support Capability Framework and the requirements of the NDIS Quality and Safeguarding Commission.
- Sound understanding of the DHS Restrictive Practices guidelines.
- Ability to work within a multiple caseload setting and meet deadlines and support others to do so.
- Experience in working with people with disabilities and their families. Experience in working with NDIS participants and other relevant stakeholders.
- Skills, knowledge, and experience working within the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)
- Understanding of the principles and evidence-based practice regarding the delivery of positive behaviour support approaches within diverse environments, including their home, community supports and within forensic mental health settings including in-patient wards and prisons.

- And complete the NDIS Workers Orientation & New Worker Induction Module.
