Mackay Regional Council is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Administration Officer to join our vibrant Customer Experience team based at the Paget Depot.

About this opportunity:

The Business Support Officer ensures consistent, professional service to internal and external customers while handling administrative tasks aligned with Council's strategies, policies, and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide administrative support to internal departments and external customers.
• Perform data entry with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, such as timesheet entry and customer record lodgement and maintenance.
• Conduct financial activities such as purchase orders, invoicing, and reconciliations.
• Apply Council work practices and resolve customer requests effectively.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and team objectives.
• Assist with developing work procedures and other delegated tasks.

Essential Qualifications, Experience & Skills:

• Current QLD "C" Class drivers licence or interstate equivalent.
• Experience in an administrative environment providing a high level of customer service.
• Good communication (written and verbal), listening and interpersonal skills combined with a demonstrated customer-focused work ethic.
• Ability to operate a computer including the use of MS Office applications with a high attention to detail and accuracy.
