What You’ll Do:

As the Point-of-Sale Administrator and Group Buyer, you'll play an instrumental role in ensuring smooth operations across our retail and online channels. Your work will directly impact our pharmacy’s inventory, relationship with suppliers and our customer experience. From maintaining an efficient point of sale system to managing supplier negotiations and building relationships, you’ll be the backbone of our purchasing and inventory processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • POS Management: Oversee and maintain the Z point-of-sale system to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and seamless customer transactions.
  • Group Buying: Coordinate and execute bulk purchasing strategies, negotiate with suppliers, and optimise pricing and stock availability.
  • Inventory Control: Collaborate with our buyers and managers to monitor stock levels, ensure the timely replenishment of products, and avoid out of stocks.
  • Supplier Relationships: Build and maintain strong, positive relationships with key suppliers to ensure we’re getting the best deals, products, and services across all our pharmacies.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Provide insights and reports on sales trends, inventory levels, and purchasing activities to guide decision-making.
  • Process Improvement: Constantly identify and implement ways to streamline processes, reduce costs, and improve the customer experience.
  • Website Management: Oversee the daily operations of the Chemist Hub website, ensuring product listings, stock levels, and promotional updates are accurate and up to date.
  • Online Sales Optimisation: Work closely with the buyers and managers to implement e-commerce strategies that drive online sales, improve the user experience, and ensure the website aligns with current inventory and promotions.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience in a similar role (Point of Sale Administration or Buying) – experience in the pharmacy industry is a plus!
  • Strong knowledge of POS systems, inventory management, and group buying strategies – experience with the Z suite is highly advantageous!
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills – you’ll be liaising with suppliers and state managers regularly.
  • Proficiency in Excel and other data management tools.
  • A problem-solver with a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to challenges.
