The Company:
EPM Projects is a privately owned and independent consultancy with services covering town planning, project management and facilities management. Boasting an impressive range of clients across multiple industry sectors, including education, aged-care, not-for-profit, residential, health, commercial and industrial.
Our projects range from state significant and major projects, to planning proposals, regional/local development, and planning pathway advice, for public, private and not-for-profit clients.

Key Responsibilities:
For Planners with 5-8 years’ experience:

  • Driving the delivery of projects to completion and managing client and authority expectations
  • Reviewing site constraints, development opportunities, permissibility and other relevant factors
  • Preparation of planning advice and provision of planning services for projects in NSW, including projects under local and State legislation
  • Understanding, interpreting and advising on the procedures and requirements of councils and state agencies
  • Preparation of planning documents including Planning Due Diligence Assessments, Statement of Environmental Effects, Modification Reports, Review of Environmental Factors, Complying Development Assessment Reports, Environmental Impact Statements, Social Impact Statements, Staging Reports, Planning Proposals, and other relevant reports and assessments
  • Interaction with clients, local and state agencies, consultants and other stakeholders relevant to delivering the above
  • Attending, leading and recording meetings with clients and government authorities

For Planners with 3-5 years’ experience:

  • Reviewing site constraints, development opportunities, permissibility and other relevant factors
  • Preparation of planning advice and provision of planning services for projects in NSW, including projects under local and State legislation
  • Understanding, interpreting and advising on the procedures and requirements of councils and state agencies
  • Preparation of planning documents including Planning Due Diligence Assessments, Preliminary Assessments of Potential, Statement of Environmental Effects, Modification Reports, Review of Environmental Factors, Complying Development Assessment Reports, Staging Reports, and other relevant reports and assessments
  • Interaction with clients, local and state agencies, consultants and other stakeholders relevant to delivering the above

About You
We are looking for driven, dynamic and passionate individuals to be part of a high performing and experienced team with genuine career development opportunities and competitive salary options.

  • As a Senior Planner you would have 5-8 years’ experience.
  • As a Planner you would have 3-5 years’ experience.
  • Degree in Town Planning, Urban Planning or related field.
  • Experience within social infrastructure planning is highly preferred, this may include education, health and aged care developments or community housing.
  • A good understanding of the NSW Planning system.
  • Ability to liaise with clients, government and other stakeholders.
  • Commitment to providing a high-quality service to clients.
  • Applicants must have full Australian working rights for the duration of the 12-month contract.
