The Role:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Urban Planner / Town Planner to join our dynamic team in Sydney, however we also have openings in Parramatta & Brisbane. This is a fantastic opportunity for a professional who is passionate about urban development, regulatory compliance, and community engagement. You will play a key role in managing planning applications, liaising with stakeholders, and contributing to strategic planning initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and assess development applications, rezoning proposals, and planning reports
• Provide expert advice on planning regulations and policies
• Engage with clients, government authorities, and community stakeholders
• Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies
• Contribute to strategic urban planning initiatives and masterplans
• Stay up to date with changes in planning legislation and policies
• Assist in project management and ensure timely delivery of planning approvals

About You:

• Tertiary qualification in Urban Planning, Town Planning, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in urban/town planning NSW
• Strong knowledge of NSW planning legislation, regulations, and policies
• Proven experience in preparing and managing development applications
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Experience in working with local councils and government agencies is desirable
• Membership or eligibility for membership with the Planning Institute of Australia (PIA) is an advantage
