Provide technical support for the clinical and virtual simulation activities at Charles Darwin University (CDU)
About the Position
As a Technical Officer, you will provide essential technical support for the clinical and virtual simulation activities across the Faculty of Health. Your duties will include:
- Preparing equipment and other resources for clinical simulation teaching activities and participate in the running of the activities.
- Operation, calibration and maintenance of simulation equipment as well as overall simulation spaces.
- Assisting academic staff with integration and use of the Health Immersive Virtual Education (HIVE) and other technology enabled simulation and learning facilities.
About You
To be successful, you will require:
- Relevant qualifications and experience or an equivalent combination of knowledge and/or training and experience to a bachelor's degree level in a health-related discipline
- Knowledge and experience in preparation and use of clinical simulation equipment and associated software systems
- Knowledge of clinical simulation safe working practices and WHS regulations, especially relating to storage and disposal of medical gases and biological materials
- Demonstrated clinical simulation skills including maintenance of facilities, management of equipment and clinical practice supplies, and accurate record keeping
- Demonstrated ability to work well within a team and to adapt to a changing and flexible work environment, while maintaining initiative, self-motivation and discipline.
- Possess a working knowledge of computers, including Microsoft Office applications, and an aptitude to use online procurement systems and databases.
- Demonstrated good communication and interpersonal skills with awareness and knowledge of the importance of a culturally safe workplace

Remuneration
Appointment to this role will be at Professional Level 5. The base salary will be in the range of $73,502 - $84,914 per annum. The total remuneration package will be in the range of $85,997 - $99,349 per annum, including 17% superannuation.
