Java Developer
6 Month Daily Rate Contract * Start ASAP * Bring Java (or Python) & Strong Kafka (or RabbitMQ) plus AWS.

Our client is well-known across Australia and are known for being a tech first business, using all of the latest technology. As a Software Engineer, you will take a defined design and turn it into code, applying appropriate technologies and current software engineering best practice. You write secure, stable, testable, and maintainable code with minimal defects. You will participate in team design, scoping, and prioritisation discussions.

Must have:

• Strong experience with Java (latest versions), and/or Python.
• Strong AWS experience
• Event-driven architecture, messaging, and event bus platforms (e.g. Kafka, RabbitMQ)
• Hands-on experience designing, development, and building microservices architecture
• CI/CD - Continuous Delivery (GitHub Actions, Octopus, Jenkins or similar)
• Building scalable and self-healing infrastructure in cloud (AWS certification will be ideal)

Key points:

• Contract for an initial 6 months, extensions likely
• Daily Rate: $900 - $950 per day including Super (potential to go higher for the right candidate)
• Hybrid model: x2 days per week in office (Melbourne CBD based) / 3x days from home
