Brightscope HR is looking for a Leading Hand to work on a permanent basis for our industry leading client located in Dandenong South!

About the role:

• Shift Times - 5 days a week / (8 hour days)
• Day shift = Start 6am / Finish 2pm (9 day fortnight - RDO every 10th day)
• Permanent position!
• Immediate start

Duties include but not limited:

• Lead a team of production workers in the concrete manufacturing division
• Assist with assigning and delegating tasks amongst the team
• Provide ongoing training, support and guidance to team members
• Will be setting up various moulds both big and small to hold wet concrete in place for creation of concrete products
• Will be required to cut/adjust materials to length in preparation for assembly of ordered product (e.g. adjusting mould casts)
• Will be required to strip moulds of finished products for cleaning in preparation for next order.
• Must be able to read and interpret order drawings.
• Must be able to complete the required documentation to maintain quality and safety within the business.
• Will be required to liaise with company suppliers and with internal sales to relay stock levels/product order ETA's and ensure materials and stock levels are sufficient.
• Will be responsible for ensuring job orders are completed to a high standard and job onsite requirements are maintained in a safe and timely manner.

To be considered for this role:

• Previous leading hand/supervisory experience (approx. 2 years+)
• Good work ethic and a positive attitude
• Forklift licence highly desirable
• Strong OH&S mindset and willing to speak up
• Previous experience in a concreting background highly desirable
• Continuous improvement mindset
• Physically fit and capable of manual duties including moderate to heavy lifting. 20kg max
• Own car and licence
