About the role

Reporting to the General Manager, this full-time Manufacturing Foreman position at KW Automation in Palmwoods, QLD offers an exciting opportunity to lead a team of skilled manufacturing technicians. As the Manufacturing Foreman, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the production floor, ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of high-quality specialist equipment to our valued customers.

What you'll be doing

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of the manufacturing team to meet production targets and deadlines
• Monitor and maintain product quality standards throughout the manufacturing process
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and productivity
• Provide hands-on technical support and guidance to manufacturing technicians as needed
• Ensure strict adherence to all health, safety and environmental regulations
• Collaborate with other departments to resolve issues and optimize operations
• Lead and motivate the manufacturing team including areas of fabrication machining electrical and assembly, fostering a positive and engaged work environment

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a Manufacturing Foreman or similar supervisory role in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Strong technical understanding of manufacturing processes and equipment
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics and production plans
• Excellent problem-solving, decision-making and conflict resolution skills
• Strong leadership and people management abilities, with a focus on team development
• Proficient in using computerized production management systems
• Tertiary qualification in a relevant engineering or manufacturing discipline desirable
• Forklift license, (LF) is also desirable
