About the role

Earlwood Dental Care is seeking a passionate and experienced Oral Health Therapist or Hygienist to join our team on a part-time basis at our practice located in Earlwood, NSW 2206. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality dental hygiene and therapy services to our valued patients, contributing to the overall oral health and well-being of our community.

What you'll be doing

• Perform comprehensive oral health assessments, including charting, plaque and calculus removal, and other preventive treatments
• Develop and implement personalised oral hygiene care plans for patients
• Provide effective and educational dental health advice and instructions to patients
• Collaborate with the dentists to ensure continuity of patient care
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
• Promote and maintain a high standard of infection control and workplace health and safety

What we're looking for

• Registered Oral Health Therapist/Hygienist with a minimum of 2 years' experience
• Strong theoretical knowledge of oral anatomy, pathology, and dental hygiene practices
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to educate and motivate patients
• Demonstrated commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care
• Proficient in using dental equipment and technology, including digital scanning, EMS airflow
• Collaborative team player with a positive, friendly, and professional attitude
• Orthodontic experience is highly desired
• Experience with airway examinations is advantageous
