Join Our Team as a Reinforcement Coordinator!
Are you experienced in managing steel reinforcement supply for precast concrete projects? We’re seeking a dedicated Reinforcement Coordinator to oversee and manage all aspects of steel reinforcement for our Hunter Region production facilities. In this key role, you will ensure that reinforcing materials meet project specifications, are delivered on time, and support efficient production levels, all while maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance.
What You’ll Do
As the Reinforcement Coordinator, you will:
- Oversee the end-to-end steel reinforcement supply chain to support our Hunter operations.
- Lead all procurement and scheduling functions to ensure all reinforcement is supplied on time and budget.
- Lead the quality control process to ensure all reinforcing materials meet stringent project specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery and availability of materials to support production needs.
- Monitor inventory levels and manage material flows to optimise efficiency and minimise waste.
- Conduct regular assessments of supplier performance and quality standards to ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards.
What We’re Looking For
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Proven experience in the steel reinforcement industry, ideally in a procurement and scheduling capacity.
- An engineering qualification is highly desirable, this role requires strong technical aptitude and the ability to read manufacturing drawings and other technical information.
- Strong understanding of steel reinforcement specifications, procurement processes, and quality control standards.
- Excellent organisational and multitasking skills to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
