Job Summary:
We are partnering with a Federal Government Department to find an experienced Payroll Officer for a four-month contract. This role will involve providing assistance with complex payroll tasks, including underpayment calculations and superannuation audits. The successful candidate will have a strong background in payroll, with expertise in interpreting employment and superannuation legislation and policies.
Key Duties:
- Undertake complex payroll-related tasks, focusing on underpayment calculations and superannuation audits.
- Utilise the Aurion payroll system to manage payroll data accurately.
- Analyse and interpret relevant employment and superannuation legislation and policies.
- Manage and analyse large datasets using advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Provide high-level customer service and communicate effectively via email, phone, and written correspondence.
- Write clear and concise reports, particularly regarding payroll-related findings and recommendations.
- Assist in project management, ensuring deadlines are met and deliverables are tracked effectively.
- Maintain strong team relationships and collaborate with colleagues and management.
- Handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism.
- Follow direction from ASC Management.
Essential Requirements:
- Extensive experience with complex payroll calculations, including underpayment calculations and superannuation audits.
- High proficiency in using the Aurion payroll system.
- In-depth knowledge of employment and superannuation legislation and policies.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for managing and analysing large datasets.
- Strong project management skills, with a proven ability to meet deadlines and deliver on commitments.
- Excellent communication skills, including report writing and customer service.
- Exceptional administration and organisational skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and act with personal integrity.
- Ability to follow direction and collaborate effectively within a team environment.
- A Baseline Security Clearance.
- An Australian Capital Territory Working with Vulnerable People Licence.
