Job Summary:
The APS 6 Communications and Partnerships Officer will play a key role in supporting the development and delivery of national information and awareness activities for the National Bowel Cancer Screening Program (NBCSP). This will involve promoting participation and informing eligible Australians about the program.
Key Duties:
- Develop communications content and key messages for national campaigns, media releases, digital platforms, training materials, and program resources.
- Provide account management services to foster and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Engage with partners on program communications, including community engagement and health care professional training.
- Communicate program messages effectively to stakeholders and participants.
- Coordinate media activities for the National Cancer Screening Programs.
- Contribute to the development, implementation, and evaluation of communications, engagement, and education strategies.
- Conduct research and prepare high-quality reports and documents.

- A motivated self-starter with a focus on continuous improvement and best practice.
The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar communications role, preferably within the Australian Public Service or government, and will be familiar with Australian Government processes. They will be a highly motivated, strategic communicator with a passion for promoting public health initiatives and an ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
