About Our Client
Our client is a highly regarded construction company specialising in high-end residential and commercial shotcrete applications. They are seeking an experienced Crew Leader with manual shotcrete experience to oversee on-site operations, lead a skilled crew, and ensure projects are completed to the highest standards.
About the Role
As a Crew Leader, you will be responsible for managing shotcrete applications, coordinating teams, and ensuring site safety and efficiency. This role requires strong leadership skills, hands-on experience with manual shotcrete, and the ability to manage construction projects with precision.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate a crew of shotcrete workers to ensure work is executed efficiently and safely.
- Oversee manual shotcrete applications, ensuring correct techniques and high-quality finishes.
- Conduct risk assessments, safety checks, and quality audits before and after works.
- Manage the supply of materials, ensuring concrete supply is on schedule.
- Provide clear direction to crew members, ensuring job tasks are completed accurately.
- Oversee site operations, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Complete and submit job sheets, variation orders, and site documentation.
- Ensure all tools, equipment, and vehicles are well-maintained and accounted for.
- Train, mentor, and develop crew members, ensuring skill growth and efficiency.
What We’re Looking For
- Extensive experience in manual shotcrete application (essential).
- Proven ability to manage high-end residential and commercial projects.
- Leadership experience in a construction or shotcrete-related role.
- Strong understanding of concrete spraying techniques and ability to interpret architectural drawings.
- High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to liaise with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Australian Medium Rigid driver’s licence (or equivalent).
- Red Card (Construction Induction Training).
- Proficiency in computer-based reporting and documentation.
Desirable Qualifications
- Experience in swimming pool and basement construction.
- OH&S Management qualification (5-day course).
