Abbey is a rapidly growing Animal Health organization, and its employees are the core of its growth. We’re a young, progressive, and autonomous organization which gives a lot of flexibility to our employees. The Warehouse manager will be responsible for the safe and timely shipping, distribution, storing, packaging and otherwise transporting of inventory. The Warehouse Manager will liaise with vendors, suppliers, and other third-party service providers to ensure that products get where they need to be in an effective manner.

This role will be a permanent and full-time role based in Bendigo, Victoria. We are looking for candidates who can join at the earliest.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, coach, train, and mentor a small team of warehouse assistants to provide ongoing continuity of performance at a sustained high output level.
• Play a key role in the outbound distribution and responsible for freight management for all warehouses working closely with the Customer service manager. Ensuring freight costs management is optimum.
• Ensure physical Inventory control is managed and maintained with cyclic audits like stock take, cycle counts inventory accuracy etc.
• Manage timely picking and packing of customer orders, carry out all warehousing and dispatch responsibilities to provide efficient and timely processing of sales orders and also ensuring strong communication channels are in place with the customer service team.
• Liaise with third party transport providers and booking of consignments in the system.
• Receipt of goods – unloading trucks, ensuring quantities received are correct and reconcile with delivery papers.
• Dispatch of goods – ensure goods are packaged appropriately doe dispatch, including loading of trucks.
• Keep stock areas organized, maintained, clean, tidy, and safe.
• Ensure work, health and safety guidelines are adhered to.

Knowledge and Experience:

• Atleast 5+ years of experience in a similar role in logistics and/or a warehouse environment.
• A current Forklift license.
• Experience in using warehouse machinery and ensuring health and safety standards are met in relation to warehouse operations.
• Working knowledge of safe operating procedures.
• Demonstrated experience using Microsoft Office applications.
