What You’ll Do:
- Plan, lead, and facilitate engaging leisure, recreational, and wellness programs
- Develop individualised lifestyle plans tailored to residents' interests and abilities.
- Organise social events, cultural celebrations, and outings to foster community connections.
- Work closely with the Leisure & Lifestyle Coordinator and care team to enhance resident well-being.
- Assist residents in arts, music, movement, storytelling, and other creative activities.
- Support residents’ daily living by encouraging independence and participation in meaningful activities.
- Maintain a warm, inclusive environment where all residents feel valued and engaged.
What We’re Looking For:
- A passion for aged care – You genuinely enjoy making a difference in the lives of older adults
- Creativity and enthusiasm – You bring fresh ideas and energy to every activity
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills – You can build strong connections with residents, families, and staff
- Experience in aged care, leisure, or community engagement (minimum 2 years)
- Ability to plan and facilitate engaging group activities
- Organisational and time-management skills – You can balance multiple tasks while ensuring quality engagement
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude – Your presence brightens up the room!
- First Aid & CPR Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
- Current Working with Vulnerable People card
Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
- Certificate IV in Leisure and Health / Diploma in Community Services (or a related qualification) Understanding of dementia care and best practices
- Experience in leading group activities, outings, or therapy-based programs
- Background in arts, music, dance, or movement therapy (highly esteemed!)
- Fluency in Italian, Greek, Croatian, or Spanish is a plus!

About Villaggio Sant Antonio
Villaggio Sant’ Antonio is a non for profit, multi-cultural aged care facility catering for Residents with a variety of needs. The facility is managed and run by paid personnel in conjunction with community support under the direction of the Board of Villaggio Italiano Limited.
The facility includes extensive landscaped grounds, a nondenominational chapel, numerous sitting and activities rooms and a community hall.
