What You’ll Do:

• Plan, lead, and facilitate engaging leisure, recreational, and wellness programs
• Develop individualised lifestyle plans tailored to residents' interests and abilities.
• Organise social events, cultural celebrations, and outings to foster community connections.
• Work closely with the Leisure & Lifestyle Coordinator and care team to enhance resident well-being.
• Assist residents in arts, music, movement, storytelling, and other creative activities.
• Support residents’ daily living by encouraging independence and participation in meaningful activities.
• Maintain a warm, inclusive environment where all residents feel valued and engaged.

What We’re Looking For:

• A passion for aged care – You genuinely enjoy making a difference in the lives of older adults
• Creativity and enthusiasm – You bring fresh ideas and energy to every activity
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills – You can build strong connections with residents, families, and staff
• Experience in aged care, leisure, or community engagement (minimum 2 years)
• Ability to plan and facilitate engaging group activities
• Organisational and time-management skills – You can balance multiple tasks while ensuring quality engagement
• Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude – Your presence brightens up the room!
• First Aid & CPR Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
• Current Working with Vulnerable People card

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

• Certificate IV in Leisure and Health / Diploma in Community Services (or a related qualification) Understanding of dementia care and best practices
• Experience in leading group activities, outings, or therapy-based programs
• Background in arts, music, dance, or movement therapy (highly esteemed!)
• Fluency in Italian, Greek, Croatian, or Spanish is a plus!
