About the Role:
We are seeking a passionate and proactive Leisure & Lifestyle Officer/ Member Engagement Officer to join our team in the Southern region. In this role, you will be responsible for planning and delivering activities that enhance the well-being of our members, coordinating transport services, managing volunteers, and building strong community partnerships. Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and execute educational, recreational, and social activities for blind members.
• Develop a quarterly activity program to improve independence and engagement.
• Coordinate transport using BB vehicles and ensure proper vehicle maintenance.
• Recruit, train, and manage volunteers to support activities in the South region.
• Identify service gaps and create new engagement initiatives to boost participation.
• Maintain accurate records of activities and volunteer contributions in Infoodle.
• Develop partnerships with organisations to enhance service offerings.
• Organise special events and represent BB at industry and community events.
• Manage budgets effectively and ensure resources are used efficiently.

What We’re Looking For:

• Diploma or Certificate IV in Community Services, Disability Support, Lifestyle & Leisure, Aged Care, or relevant experience in the related field.
• Experience in community engagement, disability support, or event planning.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
• Proficiency in record-keeping software
• Valid driver’s license and ability to drive a small van to transport members.
• Understanding of the needs of blind and vision-impaired individuals.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to travel within the Southeast Metro region.
