Right at Home Wide Bay is dedicated to providing compassionate, respectful, and high-quality holistic care across a range of services including Aged Care, Disability Care, Transitional & Palliative Care, and Hospital-in-the-Home to the Hervey Bay and Maryborough Region of Queensland, Australia.
As we continue to expand our team, we are currently seeking an Enrolled Nurse to join our Hervey Bay office. This is a full-time role that will involve both office-based and fieldwork responsibilities.

Your new role will be responsible for:
- Engage with clients and their families to assess their needs and establish trusting relationships.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Provide nursing and in-home care services, including wound care, insulin administration, and medication management.
- Address inquiries and provide detailed feedback as required.
- Ensure all client documentation is completed accurately within Right at Home’s systems.
- Interpret and communicate relevant policies and procedures regarding health, aged care, and disability services to carers and staff.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to aged and disability care services.
- Implement and maintain operational systems, including Visual Care, and adhere to policies and procedures.
- Foster best practice standards in caregiver management and encourage ongoing professional development.
- Coordinate with the accounts department to ensure accurate billing in accordance with care plans.
- Ensure adherence to Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) regulations.
Qualifications
Essential Requirements
- Enrolled Nurse (EN) with 1-2 years of experience in community nursing and current AHPRA registration.
- Alternatively, a Certificate III or IV in Aged/Disability Care with a minimum of 4 years' experience.
- Proven experience in aged care, disability, or mental health within a community setting.
- Strong understanding of Aged Care and Disability Standards, as well as consumer-directed care principles.
- Current First Aid, CPR certification, and National Police Check.
- Working With Children (WWC) check or willingness to obtain.
- A valid driver's license and access to a reliable car with comprehensive insurance.
- High level of computer literacy and proficiency with relevant software.
- Solid understanding of clinical governance and a commitment to continuous improvement.
- A positive, 'can-do' attitude with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

- Ability to think critically and solve problems effectively under pressure.
- Skilled in multitasking with a keen attention to detail, maintaining composure and focus in fast-paced environments.

- Outstanding customer service capabilities with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- In-depth knowledge of home care services, industry guidelines, and best practices.
- Proficient in wound care, catheter care, and PEG feeding techniques.
- Strong understanding of NDIS services, policies, and guidelines.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery.
