The Role
As the Head of Student Services, you will play a key leadership role in overseeing student support strategies, driving engagement and retention, and ensuring an outstanding student experience. Reporting to senior leadership, you will manage a high-performing team, implement scalable student support programs, and develop initiatives that promote student success and well-being.
This role requires a strategic, data-driven leader with a strong background in student services, operations, and process improvement. You will have the opportunity to shape and enhance student engagement strategies while fostering strong relationships with students, faculty, and industry mentors.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Student Services department, mentoring and developing a dedicated team.
- Design and implement structured workflows to improve operational efficiency.
- Develop and execute student engagement and retention strategies to enhance student satisfaction and success.
- Oversee student lifecycle programs, including onboarding, retention, and transition initiatives, to ensure a seamless journey from study commencement to industry readiness.
- Use data-driven insights to optimize student support services and identify areas for improvement.
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including industry mentors and academic teams.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices for student support.
- Represent Student Services in executive meetings, institutional committees, and advisory boards.
The Successful Candidate
- Proven experience in student services leadership, preferably in online education.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to drive process improvements.
- Experience developing and implementing student engagement and retention strategies.
- Data-driven approach to analysing student needs and program success.
- Excellent interpersonal communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Background in student counselling, academic advising, or cross-cultural communication.
