About the role

Watermaid Pty Ltd is seeking a part-time Factory Hand to join our manufacturing team in Terrey Hills, NSW. As a Factory Hand, you will play a key role in the efficient and safe operation of our manufacturing facility, supporting our production processes and contributing to the overall success of our business.

What you'll be doing

• Answer phone calls, take messages, and liaise with customers professionally.
• Assist customers at the front counter with a friendly and composed demeanor.
• Take incoming cells and units for processing.
• Handle emails related to orders, warranties, and inquiries.
• Prepare quotes and invoices.
• Process EFTPOS sales.
• Coordinate with couriers and the repairs department.
• Providing support to the production team as needed.
• Pick up stock items from nearby suppliers and deliver units to customers as required.
• Monitor stock and liaise with appropriate departments.
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation.
• Physical tasks; some lifting may be required, with safe practices. Preferred lifting capacity: minimum 14kg, Maximum 25kg, accommodations available if needed.

What we're looking for

• A valid driver's license is preferred.
• Forklift license is a plus but not required.
• A professional and composed approach to customer interactions and workplace challenges.
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively with a team.
• Good hand-eye coordination, memory and attention to detail.
• Commitment to maintaining a calm, professional, and solutions-focused work environment.
• Excellent customer service skills, with a focus on patience and constructive communication.
• Ability to stand for extended periods as part of daily tasks.
• Familiarity with QuickBooks (or willingness to learn).
• Basic computer skills.
• A quick learner, who can work independently and be self-directed.
