The role
The Application Manager, ICT and Data Services in the Public Health Intelligence Branch reports to the ICT Service Delivery Manager. The Application Manager is designated with the responsibility for the day-to-day management of applications, including the coordination and oversight of the planning, development, installation, configuration, maintenance and support of the application.
The successful person
You will have:
- Demonstrated ability to develop and promote Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) processes based on the ITIL framework, primarily incident / problem / change / release / configuration management. (SFIA code: ITMG 6; USUP 5; CHMG 5).
- Demonstrated ability to manage diverse activities and priorities across organisational boundaries to ensure that service delivery meets agreed service levels in a customer focused ICT environment. Experience in negotiating and managing contracts and service level agreements with emphasis on a strong customer focus. (SFIA: SLMO Level 5).
- Well-developed interpersonal, written and oral communication skills including the ability to negotiate, advise, influence others and work collaboratively with people including senior business and technical stakeholders to make decisions. (NHS: Effective and strategic influencing).
- Demonstrated expert level skills and experience in managing clinical and non-clinical applications and their integration with business requirements and technical environment in a large and complex service delivery environment. (SFIA: TECH Levels 6,7).
