External Sales Specialist – Valves (Water and Sewer Technology)
Location: Melbourne or Sydney preferred, other locations considered based on experience

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and driven External Sales Specialist for Valves in the Water and Sewer Technology sector to expand our market presence and drive sales growth. This role is ideal for a results-driven technical sales professional who enjoys building strong customer relationships and providing tailored technical solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Client Management and Business Growth
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients while identifying and securing new business opportunities
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets
- Travel extensively to meet clients, conduct site visits, and close deals
Technical Expertise and Sales Support
- Provide expert guidance on valves, instrumentation, and mechanical solutions
- Understand customer requirements and recommend tailored solutions for water, sewer, hydropower, mining, power generation, and petrochemical applications
- Prepare and deliver compelling presentations, proposals, and quotations
Industry and Product Knowledge
- Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive offerings
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure seamless project execution
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities and customer interactions
What You Bring
- Experience in sales or project engineering within mechanical products or industrial solutions
- Strong technical knowledge of valves, instrumentation, and mechanical solutions for water, sewer, and related industries
- Previous experience selling into sectors such as water and wastewater, mining, power generation, petrochemical, or hydropower
- Ability to build relationships and drive new business development
- A proactive and solutions-focused mindset with strong problem-solving skills
- Willingness to travel extensively across Australia
