Medical Receptionist, Part Time
We are well established general practice located in Melbourne CBD within a busy university campus setting. We are passionate about providing quality health care to our patients.
The practice provides great facilities as well as a friendly, positive and supportive environment to work in.
We are looking for a highly motivated Receptionist to join our friendly team. Ideal applicant will have a high level of initiative, a friendly nature, excellent communication skills, passion to deliver high quality customer service with a smile and be able to work flexible hours (no weekends and after hours).
The successful applicant will work alongside our team of enthusiastic and supportive receptionists in the important role as the first point of contact for our patients and in support to ensure the smooth operations of all daily reception aspects of the practice.
About the role in our team
The role will see the successful applicant:
- Greeting and welcoming clients into the practice.
- Booking appointments (including basic triage)
- Maintain medical files (including new registrations)
- Process Patient billings & payments (including processing online claiming and banking)
- General administration duties including dealing with incoming and outgoing mail, scanning and faxing
- Communicate effectively with doctors, practice nurses and other members of the reception team
Essential Criteria:
- Background in a medical practice would be beneficial
- Prior experience with Best Practice software or similar medical billing software would be advantageous
- Flexibility in working hours/shifts and reliability
- Experience with Medicare related billings is preferable
- Ability to multi task and remain calm under pressure with attention to detail
