The Locum Coordinator will manage the provision of an effective and efficient Locum Medical Officer Service, including management of the interface with Locum Medical Agencies for the Wagga Wagga Base Hospital (WWBH) to maintain organisational staffing and service provision.
Negotiate and manage the agreed business terms and conditions between the Wagga Wagga Base Hospital and Locum Medical Agencies to ensure that clinically qualified agency relief staff are employed as per NSW Health policies and guidelines.
The Locum Coordinator is ultimately responsible for the management of the payroll system for Locums, ensuring accurate data entry and verification of hours paid occurs, with audits regularly undertaken.
A comprehensive knowledge of relevant industrial awards, legislative requirements, and policies and procedures at District and State level is required as well as timely and accurate provision of advice on such matters to staff.
The position holder will work to develop and maintain positive relationships between the Locum Agencies as well as facilitating communication with various departments across the Wagga Wagga Base Hospital and the Medical Workforce Unit.
