About the Role of Resource Officer
Mithangkaya Nguli Indigenous Corporation operates multiple sites across the North Queensland region and growing. This new pivotal role will support the Team Leader of the Intensive On Country Youth Justice program to plan and develop activities, evaluate data and secure resources both human and financial to support the team.
The Corporation prides itself in providing exemplary services to children, youth and their families, whilst fostering a team culture of inclusion, diversity, innovation and collaboration.
The role will make a visible impact within the Corporation, supporting the Team Leader to influence the service delivery of key operational drivers across business growth and sustainability, quality improvement and unique opportunities to partner with other keystakeholders in community.
The Resource Officer will be an integral member of a multi-disciplinary team involving a range of internal and external stakeholders and service providers to achieve quality service outcomes. The role will undertake a range of record and information management tasks including but not limited to preparation and development of reports, maintenance of quality improvement practice.
About you
You will be an authentic, strategic and have a passion and energy for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and community. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact to the lives of children, young people and their families, whilst being hands on in strategic youth justice service initiatives to reduce the over-representation of children and young people in the criminal justice system.
You will have a strong understanding of the ‘big picture’ thinking with the delivery of daily operational requirements and how each component of both internal and external factors to bring about positive change.
Your previous relevant experience in a similar role will lend well to influencing and mentoring a large team. Your experience and application of legislative requirements as they pertain to Youth Justice, Child Protection will be critical.
Flexibility, adaptability and resilience will see you lead decisively on fast moving operational demands, coupled with strong influencing and people skills to ensure meaningful stakeholder relationships at all levels to achieve business outcomes.
