About Us

Banana Shire Council deliver in home care services to older community members in Taroom and Wandoan. These services include support with showering, medication, cleaning, laundry, accessing the community and attending appointments.

About You

You will provide high standard of personal care services to older community members who require support to continue to live in their own homes. The successful candidates will demonstrate excellent communication skills. Certificate III in Aged Care or similar is desirable, however is not essential!

Eligibility requirements

To be considered for this role you must be able to demonstrate or possess:

• Experience in caring for aged and/or disabled persons
• Basic literacy, numeracy and communication skills together with the ability to work effectively in a team environment under minimal supervision
• Queensland C class drivers licence
• Valid Federal Police Check
• NDIS Worker Check
• Sound understanding of and commitment to EEO and WHS principles and practices
• To be considered for this position, you must have adequate unrestricted rights to work in Australia
