About Us

Taroom is located 198 kilometres southwest from Biloela and 466 kilometres northwest from Brisbane. Our Shire population is approximately 15,000 people spread over 28,577 square kilometres. Major industries in the area include Coal Mining, Power Generation, Beef Production, dryland cropping and irrigation such as lucerne and cotton.

About You

These positions will require to provide high standard personal care services to older community members in Taroom and Wandoan who require support to continue to live in their own homes. The successful candidates will demonstrate excellent communication skills. Certificate III in Aged Care or similar is desirable, however is not essential!

Eligibility requirements

To be considered for this role you must be able to demonstrate or possess:

• Experience in caring for aged and/or disabled persons
• Basic literacy, numeracy and communication skills together with the ability to work effectively in a team environment under minimal supervision
• Queensland C class drivers licence
• Valid Federal Police Check
• NDIS Worker Check
• Sound understanding of and commitment to EEO and WHS principles and practices
• To be considered for this position, you must have adequate unrestricted rights to work in Australia
