Mergent Group is thrilled to collaborate with a globally renowned leader in downhole drilling design and manufacturing. We're seeking a talented CNC Machinist – Setter Operator to join our Adelaide team. In this role, you'll be responsible for machining operations on CNC and manual-controlled machines, following precise instructions. This is an entry level role and an exceptional opportunity you won’t want to miss.

Responsibilities:

• Operate CNC machines to produce parts as per drawings and instructions
• Follow directions from the Leading Hand and Foreman
• Report any machine or equipment issues
• Keep accurate records and complete necessary paperwork
• Maintain a high standard of safety and quality
• Occasionally travel to other sites when needed

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience with manual and CNC turning/milling machines
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
• Knowledge of different steel grades and how they machine
• Comfortable using metric and imperial measurements
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Flexible and adaptable attitude
