• Salary: $100,000 - $115,000 per annum + superannuation

About the Role

As a Principal Planner, you will be responsible for:
✔️ Managing and assessing complex planning applications in line with relevant legislation and policies.
✔️ Providing expert advice on planning and development matters to internal and external stakeholders.
✔️ Assisting in the development and implementation of strategic planning initiatives.
✔️ Representing the council at VCAT, community consultations, and other forums.
✔️ Mentoring and guiding junior planners to support their professional growth.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:
✅ A degree in Urban Planning, Town Planning, or a related field.
✅ Extensive experience in statutory or strategic planning, preferably within local government.
✅ Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
✅ Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
✅ A proactive and collaborative approach to planning challenges.
