Accounts & Operations Coordinator

Our small hard chroming business, based in Lidcombe, is looking for a proactive Accounts & Operations Coordinator to join our team. We service industrial products for a diverse range of customers and have built a strong pipeline. This role is key to ensuring jobs are tracked effectively, teams are working efficiently, and operations are profitable.

You will work closely with the Managing Director to implement improvements, manage the rollout of our new app, and drive factory-wide efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accounts & Administration: Manage accounts receivable/payable, payroll, and reconciliations. Handle invoicing, PAYG, superannuation, and ATO lodgments.
  • Operational Efficiency: Ensure jobs are tracked from start to finish, monitoring incoming and outgoing work to maintain smooth workflow.
  • Team Coordination: Work alongside production staff to ensure work is progressing efficiently and roadblocks are addressed.
  • App Rollout & Management: Take ownership of the new factory management app, train staff, troubleshoot issues, and ensure smooth adoption.
  • Profitability & Reporting: Work with the Managing Director to track job costs, identify inefficiencies, and drive profitability.
  • General Support: Assist with administrative and logistical tasks as needed.

What We’re Looking For

✔️ 5+ years experience in an operational or admin role within a factory/industrial setting.
✔️ Strong job tracking and workflow coordination skills.
✔️ MYOB proficiency and solid MS Excel skills.
✔️ Excellent attention to detail, time management, and problem-solving.
✔️ Experience in team coordination and driving operational efficiency.
✔️ Tech-savvy – ability to manage and implement new software.
✔️ Strong communication skills and ability to work with stakeholders at all levels.
