If you are an outstanding salesperson who is dedicated, has a strong work commitment, ethical and values driven, looking for a career in an exciting, fast paced industry, we’d like to hear from you.

About Us:

Smith’s Lawyers are one of Queensland’s leading Personal Injury Law Firms, assisting our clients as they navigate the difficult challenges associated with injury claims. Our team primarily operates in providing compensation for people injured in Queensland in the workplace, road/motor vehicle and TPD practice areas. What separates Smith’s Lawyers from other Personal Injury Law Firms is our commitment to ensure no client is out of pocket – that is our ‘No win. No Fee. No Catch’ guarantee.

About the role:

Smith’s Lawyers are seeking motivated candidates to join our team.

With clients spread throughout Queensland, although predominantly within South-East Queensland, you will be required to speak directly with our potential new clients within a short timeframe of them having made an enquiry with us.

Prompt phone contact with potential new clients is vital as they seek information on how we can assist them with their claim. You will assist potential clients in understanding our client agreement, collect the information we require to onboard the client and get their claim underway, and to outline how the initial part of their claim will be managed by Smith’s. This client-centric, fast-paced role requires a motivated, empathetic, and organised person with a strong attention to detail, who is looking for a long-term career working for a thriving, supportive firm. The ability to provide clarity and certainty to potential clients regarding management of their claim will be the key to your success.

The potential clients you will be speaking to, will have been pre-qualified to ascertain whether they meet the criteria that enables us to act on their behalf. The majority of potential clients will have claims in the motor vehicle, worker’s compensation and public liability areas. You will work closely with one of the Principal of Smith’s Lawyers and receive detailed training regarding the different claim types and the requirements and processes we need to follow, to allow us to act on the potential client’s behalf.

This role allows you to have the opportunity to help people who have been negatively affected by accidents to receive the justice they deserve.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting potential clients through the process of becoming clients.
  • Explaining the details of our client agreements to potential clients and capturing the necessary information and documents required for Smith’s to onboard the new clients.
  • Meeting established KPI’s regarding number of new clients onboarded.
  • Provide empathetic but professional service to all potential clients.
  • Understand and follow the processes employed by Smith’s in regards to interactions with potential clients.
  • Developing and maintaining strong professional working relationships with the Principals of Smith’s, the senior lawyers and marketing team.
  • The ability to call clients in a short timeframe from their initial enquiry and/or at a time that suits them.
  • Preparing management reports using CRM software in line with KPI’s.

By exceeding your KPI’s, you will not only receive a great base salary package, you will also be able to participate in an incentive scheme designed specifically for your role.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will be a self-driven, reliable, proactive, and enthusiastic individual who is eager to learn and to assist potential clients in becoming clients of Smith’s Lawyers. Smith’s Lawyers and our clients benefit from our diverse team of high achieving individuals, and we are looking for the following skills and abilities for those wanting to join our team:

  • Be able to efficiently and professionally conduct meetings with potential new clients within short timeframes.
  • No legal background is necessary, however a level of understanding of legal concepts will be beneficial.
  • Be of the highest ethical standard to uphold the values and rigor required to meet Smith’s and legal regulator’s requirements.
  • Have a strong work ethic and the ability to clearly and effectively communicate with potential clients, delivering first class client service.
  • A proven track record and commitment of high achievement in a senior sales role.
  • Ability to prioritize, work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Advanced communication skills, both written and verbal (keep things simple and avoid complex legal language)
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow your career.

This role will allow the successful candidates to have flexible working arrangements of either WFH, working from our Gold Coast or Brisbane office or a hybrid approach.
