THE ROLE

This role will grow with you at the speed you learn, the position is tailored to highlight your lead in the role as Estimator, show casing your zest for design and construct.
You will carry with you the qualities and skillset important to Civil Construction to take on responsibilities that will highlight your ability to pricing projects, drawing up, estimating while establishing the complete cost of a construction project.
Be instrumental in supporting the deliverance of premium government projects that support the local community across NSW
- Planning the complete costs of materials, labour, arranging site plans, site drawings and equipment.
- Drawing up, estimating and determining the overall cost of a construction project.
- Interacting, coordinating and liaising with architects, contractors, and delivery team.
- Attend pre-tender site checks and inspections.
- Advise and recommend using various methodologies exactly how the business can reduce costs.
- Knowledge to guide, advise, interact regarding construction, design, costs of labour, budgets, architecture, investments, and supply costs.
- Forecast accurate pricing.
- Assessing and evaluating cost assessments as well as variation requests.
- Collaborating and communicating with trade partners and team members regarding new and current projects.
- Safeguarding timely completion of estimates.
- Understanding scope of work to bid.
- Managing, reviewing and negotiating vendors regarding pricing while building relationships.
- Preparing cost analysis.
THE ESSENTIALS
- A bachelor’s degree in construction, engineering, mathematics, architecture, or any other relevant qualifications
- Ability to travel between work sites working in the office and onsite
- Strong analytical skills to provide accurate estimates of projects
- Latest knowledge of the building codes
- Effective analytical and problem-solving skills
- Hold a WHS White Card to certify that you have completed the working safely on construction sites course
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle sudden challenges.
