About the role

We are seeking an experienced Carpenter to join our team at Barrett Plaster Pty Ltd, located in Chirnside Park, VIC. As a full-time Carpenter, you will be responsible for the construction, installation, and maintenance of various building structures and components. Your expertise will be integral in delivering high-quality workmanship and contributing to the overall success of our growing business.

What you'll be doing

• Perform a variety of carpentry tasks
• Read and interpret drawings
• Operate power tools and hand tools safely and efficiently
• Collaborate with other tradespeople to ensure seamless project coordination
• Maintain a clean and organised work environment
• Adhere to all relevant safety regulations and company policies

• Metal and Timber Framing
• Suspended Ceilings
• External Cladding
• Special Internal Acoustic Linings
• Doors
• FF&E Fit Off.

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a Carpenter, with a minimum of 3 years in the building trades industry
• Strong understanding of carpentry techniques, materials, and building codes
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Proficient in the use of power tools and hand tools
• Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
• Effective communication and teamwork skills
• Commitment to safety and attention to detail
