About Victoria Park Gymnastics & Trampoline Club (Vici Park)

Vici Park’s mission is to be a modern gymnastics club offering a safe gymnastics experience in a warm, friendly and inclusive environment.

Vici Park opened its doors 30 years ago with a mission to provide the Rockhampton community a quality gymnastics and trampolining program.

Today, Vici Park provides programs for under 5’s, recreational and competitive gymnastics, tumbling, team gym, and much more. The club, its coaches, member services staff and, Committee encourage kids of all ages, genders and abilities to get involved.

Preparing for Growth

Over the last few years, Vici Park has undergone a makeover with a refreshed brand, exterior works, two big fans for warm days and, installed an olympic grade sprung floor.

The Club and its team are now ready for the next phase of growth and the recruitment of additional member services (front desk) staff is vital to the Club’s plans over the next two years.

About the Advanced Coaching Role

Vici Park is looking for energetic, passionate and driven Advanced Level Coaches who are motivated by providing a high quality WAG gymnastics coaching program in a fun and safe environment.

Ideally, you will hold Advanced Level Coaching accreditation or are close to completing it. This role is focused on providing a high calibre of coaching to high level gymnastics athletes including those competing at a state and national level.

Whether you are looking for a few afternoons or a busy week, there are plenty of hours available with Vici Park open seven days a week.

While we work with your availabilities, we are after people with availabilities in the afternoon from 3:30pm to 9pm and on a Saturday.

For the right international candidates, we would love to discuss VISA arrangements.

Paid Training Provided

All new coaches will be trained to provide coaching the ‘Vici Park way’. All training shifts at Vici Park are paid for and we would be happy to discuss your further development with us.

Further training for the coaching team is provided on an ongoing basis.

Duties

• Developing a high-quality gymnastics program
• Coaching high levels/ competitive gymnastics athletes
• Supporting and preparing athletes for the competition season
• Ensuring a physical and psychological safe environment
• Working with the gymnastics manager to improve the experience

Skills and experience

• Excellent communication and people skills
• A desire to work in a fast-paced sport & recreation environment
• Ability to handle feedback in a professional manner
• A strong understanding and experience coaching gymnastics
• Working with Children Check (WWCC)*
