As a Manufacturing leader on the Goldfields Billet Engineering specialize in the repair and manufacture of hydraulic cylinders and associated components for the Mining, Civil, Oil and Gas industry in Australia.

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team in Kalgoorlie. You will play a crucial role ensuring the quality and precision of our products.

The ideal candidate is self-motivated and adaptable as the job requires, be a team player but also be able to work independently.

ABOUT THE ROLE

• Operate and maintain CNC and manual machining equipment to produce components to exact specifications.
• Read engineered drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample part to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished workpiece, sequence of operations, and setup requirements.
• Calculate and set controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, and depth and angle of cut, input, or edit computerized machine program according to established guidelines and procedures.
• Verify conformance of finished work piece to specifications, using measuring and inspection tools as necessary.
• Collaborate with the engineering and production team to meet project requirements.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks on machines as required.
• Confer with production personnel, or others to resolve machining or assembly problems.

ABOUT YOU

• Trade Certificate or equivalent Australian recognized.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Engineering solutions
• Previous exposure to Mazak Smooth G Mazatrol advantageous.
• Full working rights in Australia

• Well-groomed and neat appearance
• Pass PEM and DAS
