Full Time - Pathologist Assistant Gross Cut Up.

The role is a great unique hands-on opportunity, ideal for an experienced Pathologist Assistant in Anatomical Pathology.

This position will be suitable for an individual who prides themselves in their work, and have demonstrated knowledge, experience and/or documented competency and performance of complex cut up (breast WLE, mastectomy, colectomy, nephrectomy), and various specimens in a diagnostic anatomical pathology laboratory.

In this role, this individual will have well-developed interpersonal, oral and written communication skills with familiarity of terminology required for specimen dissection. This individual will have the sound decision making capabilities with an unblemished track record in relation to specimen handling and patient safety in the context of the role.

Additionally, this person will have demonstrated ability to work as a collaborative team member while working autonomously, recognising limits and escalation requirements for the role. The individual will have a sound understanding of the framework and guidelines pertaining to pre-analytical and specimen cut-up requirements in a diagnostic laboratory.

This will be a full-time position.

Remuneration will be according to years of experience below:

Pathologist Assistant 2 years $50.00 per hour

Pathologist Assistant 2.5 -3 years $55.00 per hour

Pathologist Assistant > 4-5 years $65.00 per hour
