Our client is currently seeking a Finance Manager to lead their finance department and report directly to the CEO on a full-time basis.
You will play a key role in managing the organisation’s finances, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strategic alignment. Your financial expertise will provide valuable insights, helping to guide decision-making and support the organisation’s long-term sustainability. With a strong focus on leadership, you will deliver clear financial analysis, meaningful reporting, and thoughtful advice to help shape growth and performance.
You will bring experience in financial management, with a strong ability to improve internal controls and processes. With a solid understanding of accounting principles, regulatory requirements, and financial reporting standards within the for-purpose sector, you have a keen eye for detail and enjoy working with a diverse range of stake holders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee financial controls, maintaining consistent systems, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance and mitigate risk.
- Ensure compliance with NDIS financial guidelines and regulatory requirements.
- Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting, including statutory reporting, cashflow forecasting, and reconciliations to provide reliable financial insights.
- Work closely with the Senior Leadership team, delivering financial analyses, reports, and forecasts to support informed decision-making.
- Oversee key finance functions, including payroll, accounts payable/receivable, fixed asset management, and compliance with statutory obligations such as FBT, BAS, and superannuation.
- Drive cost optimisation and enhance financial systems, identifying opportunities for operational efficiency across the organisation.
- Act as the primary source of technical accounting guidance and lead external audit processes.
- Foster a high-performing finance team through coaching and development, ensuring the team’s readiness for current and future roles.
Experience & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field; CPA or CA certification required.
- Extensive experience in finance management, ideally within NDIS, healthcare, or not-for-profit sectors.
