We specialise in the construction, modification and repair of Energex reinforced concrete cable pits, servicing South East Queensland with the majority of works carried out in Inner Brisbane & surrounding suburbs, Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast. Our team is managed by the longest serving and most reputable Energex Authorised Pit Builder in SEQ with over 30 years’ experience in this specific field. The successful applicant will have a mature can do attitude, be an experienced Labourer and have a specific combination of civil construction qualifications and skills with duties ranging from interpreting plans and instructions, competency with reading, writing, math and problem solving, knowledge of safety practices and ability to prepare WHS documentation and work to SWMS, JHA and other work permits for example confined space entry permit when required, preparing equipment and materials and loading and unloading vehicles, operating HR truck, securing a safe work zone, measure & cut accurately, operation of tools and equipment such as but not limited to Quick Cut Saw, Jackhammer, Drop saw, Nail gun, other powered & unpowered Hand Tools, Shovel, Broom, Plate compactors, Concrete mixer, Concrete vibrator, concrete finishing hand tools, with the ability to identify and action general maintenance of tools and equipment as required, have an excellent work ethic demonstrating self-motivation, responsibility, forward thinking, attention to detail and workmanship, be clean and tidy, demonstrate respect for the workplace, equipment, self and others in a way that encourages and contributes to you and your colleagues enjoying and appreciating your working environment.

We have both day crew (Mon-Fri) and night crew (Sun-Thu) and you must be willing to work either as required, with all shifts starting and finishing from our yard at Northgate 4013.

Initially the position will be casual with an average of 35-45 hours per week with the opportunity to demonstrate reliability punctuality enthusiasm and ability to fulfil the role. Upon satisfying the role the position will become full-time.

Must have:

• QLD Construction White Card
• QLD HR Licence
• Manual Handling Skills
• Steel fixing, Formwork & Concreting Experience
• Fitness, Mobility & Endurance, Reliability, Strong Work Ethics

Preferred (but not essential):

• Skilled Excavator Operator
• Vehicle Loading Crane Licence
• Dogman Licence
• Confined Space Certificate

Hours:
35 - 45 hours per week.
